Renata & Johnny’s love story involves 2 jetskis, 2 cities, 1 sea urchin, 40 spikes and a hospital.

It’s not often true love blossoms at a cashpoint but that’s what happened for Amelia and Allan a few years ago. Queuing up with her friend at the Natwest Amelia spied Allan and his friend and thinking he was a bit of a dish, struck up conversation. A chat turned into a few drinks, and a few drinks into a date, a date into a relationship, and a relationship into a family. Right from the outset both Amelia and Allan knew that this was something really special, and marriage was on the cards.
It wasn’t long before they had a beautiful daughter, Eva. Amelia and Allan make good babies – Eva and Theo are just the sweetest children – and the couple are the perfect match for each other.
I was invited to capture their wedding which celebrated all that they have achieved together and all that’s to come in the future. The day before the wedding we did a pre-wedding shoot at their home to get them used to being in front of the camera. And Allan confessed he wasn’t such a newcomer to being in front of the camera….. in fact he was once the face of the St Martin Caribbean island’s tourism campaign.
So may you both have a marriage that’s as sunny as the Caribbean, as much fun as being on holiday and as warm as the sunset.
“I just turned 30. I decided to celebrate in style. The recipe to a great night: my best friends, glitter, high heels, candles,
champagne, a delicious cake, good music, a chic hotel suite, and some Polaroids to capture the craziest photos”
When it came to Audrey’s 30th birthday party, she decided to mark it in style. A quintessential Parisian woman, and a talented photographer too, she used her creativity to produce this perfect little celebration. She commissioned some beautiful hand calligraphy for invites, and little party signs – ‘Time to Shine’ & ‘Joyeaux Anniversaire’, hired a suite at a beautiful hotel, a friend made a gorgeous cake, decorated the suite with antiques and beautiful flowers with the help of some friends then invited a bunch of her best friends to drink champagne. We spent the afternoon shooting on the streets of Paris for Audrey to have photographs that captured this personal milestone, then her cocktail reception in the suite with a bunch of friends before going on to a chic Parisian restaurant for a fine meal and dancing.
I think it’s a magical idea for a hen party, but I also love the idea of commissioning portraits of yourself or yourself and a loved one on the romantic streets of Paris, to celebrate a special occasion or just to treasure as an experience. More coming up later this week from the shoot…
