When this couple first came to see me, their many and varied artistic passions were immediately obvious and they explained, a key inspiration for their wedding. Passionate about history & art, and collectors of photography, they were excited to create a wedding that reflected their passions and were excited to find the perfect setting for it: Westonbirt School. The Groom loved the sense of history, the grandeur of the architecture, the library with its walls lined with books (another of his passions).
The Bride loved the glamour of Italy, especially Rome, grainy black and white images and riding, and it was a dream come true to have these beautiful horses and carriage to take her from the church to the reception: and perfectly in keeping with the period of the house – I love the black and white image of the carriage in the archway; it could almost be from another century. In being their wedding photographer, I sought to create not only a special record of the day, but alongside it images that were evocative of Rome, Italy and the vintage black and white photography they love.
The couple created beautiful menus, and the favours were little bespoke books with recommendations for their favourite Italian locations and little reproductions of art. So imaginative and personal….
This couple were so graceful and supportive of me and my work, that I would like to thank you for being such lovely clients. I was delighted when I received this email shortly before their day: “We are both very excited about you photographing our wedding day and really want you to do what ever you like in terms of photography on the day. We know that the best results are produced when you have the freedom to be as creative as you like. We are both really excited, as photography is as important to us from an artistic point of view as it is in terms of subject”. It makes such a difference when clients trust my vision to capture their day and are willing to take on board my advice and feedback & I really enjoyed being their wedding photographer.
And to top a picture perfect day, full of celebration with their closest family & friends, the couple jetted off to Italy for their honeymoon and via Venice finished up on the ever romantic Amalfi coast.

I couldn’t agree more. You could shoot a dustbin and it would still make me all emotional. This bride is beautiful-I adore personal yet traditional. And the veil shots? Shivers.
