This is the super talented Libby who designed their stationary.
The Century Club is a cool members club in Soho, London and a great venue – I love the vintage furniture and decor. They also do an awesome fish and chips! Best of all though is the open air rooftop terrace where Amy & Alex had their evening reception…loved that space! With this pair I just know the partying carried on here long into the night…..
I am the photographer for many a wedding at pretty countryside locations, and whilst I do love those kind of weddings, I also love a chic city wedding with a contemporary feel and that’s exactly what Amy & Alex created here. Amy was such a fun bride, I think she smiled and laughed her way through the whole day and it was a joy to be a part of their wedding and meet many of their lovely family & friends. I love the stationary Amy’s friend Libby Young created on the brown kraft paper and hessian backgrounds, with a great font. She’s actually a colleague from Amy’s advertising world, and usually works as an art director but I think she has rather a special talent for stationary too.
This wedding will always stay in my mind, not least because of the truly spectacular way they arrived at the reception venue: in an armoured police van with a dozen policemen! That is one photo I can pretty much guarantee never to repeat….. so travelling in a beautiful vintage car from the church in Dulwich to the reception in Soho, just as they were going past the House of Parliament, no less, the car spluttered and ground to a halt. The rest of the wedding party, already at the Century Club, were entirely unaware of the stranded bride and groom. But being a place of high security has it’s advantages and the nearby police force very kindly offered to scoop up the pair and whisk them to their wedding. According to Amy the police were more than accommodating with their hospitality although she declined the offer of speeding up Piccadilly with the sirens on…..
So wishing you both a very happy and very fun life together Mr & Mrs C, may your journey together be filled with happy times & may you always travel in style!

Beautiful Polly really love it! Love the emotion through the speeches and the colour on the roof is just lush!

I love all of these shots (lucky bride and groom) but my favourite is the shot where the bride is pulling ‘oh gosh we’re married and I’m so lucky’ face. Like David said, the emotion jumps out of the photographs.

Drooling all over thanks to your photos. (found via Design*Sponge) Wow, just wow. Each image looks so natural, not contrived, spontaneous, and magical. Inspiring me to get out there with my film cameras and make something happen.
