So I have really had to hold myself back here on my blog post before it became the Nancy & Adam blog: there was just so much creativity and so many fun details, I could have posted twice as many images…..After a whirlwind romance Nancy & Adam planned a wedding that was both formal and fun, and I think they really pulled it off.
Nancy and Adam actually got engaged after a month together! In Nice in the South of France they hatched their secret plan and kept it themselves….. 8 months later they moved in together and a few more months later Adam formally proposed and they made their engagement official.
When Adam proposed in Oxford’s University Park under a bridge, it seemed natural to hold their wedding not only in the city they are both from, but also close to where Adam proposed. They chose Rhodes House for it’s grand interiors, wonderful huge dining hall (I love how they opted for a private table for two at the head of the hall, with all the guests seated down 3 long tables down the hall) and pretty gardens. Nancy’s family neighbours kindly lent their wonderful 1906 Hotchkiss car as the bridal car & Nancy worked with friends and family to pull off some wonderful styling for her day.
” Open me Number 2: All I am I Give to You”
One of things I most loved about Nancy & Adam’s Wedding was their thought and care in the little – and not so little- gestures and surprises they made for each other on their day. Nancy actually surprised Adam with a motorbike on the morning of the wedding, and gave him chance to go off for an exhilarating ride before heading to the church. Adam gave Nancy a wonderful set of gifts with the sweetest heartfelt messages on…..you can see some of them here including this ruby heart shaped ring above.
“Open me Number 3: You Carry my Heart Away”…isn’t this bespoke Anya Hindmarch clutch just gorgeous? Embroidered with the bride’s new married initials.
“Open me Number 1: With a little Spark I’ll be your Sun”
Om my gosh: look at these balloons! Aren’t they fab! Love the way the space is transformed.
To the new Mr & Mr M, may you have many many years of blissful happiness together xx

I love the colours of this wedding. The bridesmaids’ dresses against the bouquets, wow. Nancy reminds of Joss Stone (I hope she realises that was a compliment ;)). Gorgeous, Polly, as usual x

I fully support the blog becomming the Nancy-show. They are all stunning but my favourites are, as ever, the first dance shots. Great style but a sense of fun and laughter too. I want to be friends with Nancy.
