Helen and Anthony married at Barrington Hall in April after being together since they met at a party 6 years ago. Not only did they go to the same school together but she used to live next door to his good friend. Anthony is in the RAF, and actually surprised his sweetheart by arriving to marry her in his formal uniform. Helen recently graduated from her photography degree and used her visual talents to create many aspects of her wedding, together with her Mum. They chose Barrington Hall for their wedding as the grounds were so pretty for photography ~ I love those woods – and the interior is beautifully decorated with lovely window light.
They planned a fresh Spring green theme, against a backdrop of ivory, and Helen brought framed old black and white pictures of family members, including her late father, and used them to decorate the reception. Such a lovely way of bringing together the generations of marriages in the family and recognizing those special who are no longer with us. Tables were all decorated with different vintage black and white images of New York, their honeymoon destination and somewhere the couple are passionate about. Helen extended this idea to the table plan and vintage trunk which was decorated with more vintage photographs and used to collect cards.
Aren’t the cakes just beautiful? Helen’s super talented fine artist friend Sarah Allbrook made all of the cakes and decorated a special box just for the couple in the colours of their day. You can see Sarah’s cakes here. Her dress was Kelsey by Augusta Jones and the flowers were by Caroline at Country Flowers. The Cambridge Dining Company did the catering including a delicious seafood buffet with fresh prawns, salmon & seasonal salads. The couple’s good friend Sarah made the accessories for their flowergirl Poppy, including the custom dressed teddy!
Wishing you both many many years of contentment, happiness and love together…I hope you enjoy reliving the memories through your photographs…. x
