Susie & Patrick commissioned me to capture their second wedding celebration after the first one involved heading off to new York for an intimate destination wedding. Susie used her wonderful eye and attention for detail to pull together this gorgeous champagne afternoon tea party which took place at Stoke Place Hotel after a blessing at a local church. Susie decorated the space with frames with photographs from their New York wedding, their parents weddings, and a collage of images Susie’s Mum who is no longer with them, together with these stunning flower arrangements from Sonning Flowers. I just love the soft pastels of the roses. Of course having 2 weddings means double the opportunity for ideas, and shopping and Susie bought a new David Fielden wedding dress especially for the day and some Filippa Scott shoes to match from Luella’s Boudoir.
Guests enjoyed perfect little sandwiches, mini goatscheese tartlets, homemade sausage rolls, scones with jam, strawberries with cream and Earl Grey tea. The cakestands were hired from Idyllic Days. Guests were free to sit wherever they felt like, and spilled from the gorgeous painted room with it’s high ceilings into the garden…and the summery Sunday afternoon sunlight.
