Ben & Laura came to me with a brief to capture their day in a relaxed natural manner, especially focusing on the personalities of their friends and family. Ben runs his own design agency and knew what he wanted. He especially loved black and white images, notably the grainy vintage looking ones that I capture on film. He was also keen to have a good photo of camera shy Laura, his gorgeous wife to be! Despite being together for a amazing 11 years, she had been successfully camera dodging for a long time, and was concerned her nerves about being photographed might affect her wedding pictures. I assured her I would do everything to relax her and make her feel comfortable and indeed on the day we had quite a giggle: Laura has the best sense of humour! Making the day their own, the couple opted out of bridesmaids and a cutting of the cake, instead creating a warm and fun party where they could focus on celebrating with those important to them.
